Italian parsley chopped<\/strong><\/h1>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h1><strong>Salt and pepper<\/strong><\/h1>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Remove any mussels that are broken and which do not close immediately if tapped.\u00a0 Scrub the mussels well with a wire sponge or brush.\u00a0 Bring a large pot of salted water to boil for pasta.\u00a0 In a large skillet, add a few tablespoons of olive oil and saut\u00e9 half of the garlic until golden.\u00a0 Add the mussels and cover.\u00a0 Cook for about 5-10 minutes or until the shells open \u2013 discarding any mussels that do not open.\u00a0 Remove the mussels from the skillet with a slotted spoon and then remove all but 12 mussels from their shells.\u00a0 Place all shelled mussels back into the<br \/>\nskillet with the remaining liquid.\u00a0 In a separate skillet, saut\u00e9 the remaining garlic in about \u00bd cup of olive oil.\u00a0 When golden add the wine and tomatoes and<br \/>\nsimmer over medium heat for about 10 minutes.\u00a0 Add parsley, salt and pepper to taste.\u00a0 Add this mixture to the large skillet containing the mussels and heat<br \/>\ntogether.\u00a0 Add back the mussels remaining in their shells.\u00a0 Meanwhile prepare the<br \/>\nlinguine until al dente.\u00a0 Drain and add to skillet with mussels.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>1 POUND LINGUINE 2 POUNDS MUSSELS SCRUBBED WELL \u00bd CUP OLIVE OIL 1 CUP DRY WHITE WINE 1 POUND CHERRY TOMATOES HALVED 4 CLOVES GARLIC CHOPPED COARSLEY 2 T.
