Ricotta cheese \u2013 beat with mixer until creamy<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>\n<h1><strong>\u00be cup sugar<\/strong><\/h1>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h1><strong>3 eggs<\/strong><\/h1>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h1><strong>1 \u00bd tsp. flour<\/strong><\/h1>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h1><strong>1 tsp. vanilla<\/strong><\/h1>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>\u00bd tsp. grated lemon peel<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Mix all of the above with mixer for filling<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Crust:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h1><strong>1 \u00bd cup flour<\/strong><\/h1>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h1><strong>1 \u00bc tsp. baking powder<\/strong><\/h1>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h1><strong>\u00bd tsp salt<\/strong><\/h1>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h1><strong>Sift and set aside.<\/strong><\/h1>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h1><strong>3 T. butter<\/strong><\/h1>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>\u00bc c. sugar<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>\n<h1><strong>1 egg<\/strong><\/h1>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h1><strong>\u00bd tsp. vanilla<\/strong><\/h1>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h1><strong>\u00bd tsp. orange peel<\/strong><\/h1>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h1><strong>1 T. orange juice<\/strong><\/h1>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Cream butter and sugar.\u00a0 Add egg and remaining ingredients.\u00a0 Add flour mixture in halves.\u00a0Turn onto board and knead well.\u00a0 Let rest.<br \/>\nPreheat oven to 350 degrees. <\/strong><strong>Fit \u00bd of the dough in<br \/>\na pie shell and brush with egg white.<br \/>\nAdd custard.\u00a0 Roll remaining dough to 1\/8 inch thickness and cut in 10 strips, each \u00bd inch wide.\u00a0 Criss cross 5 across and 5 at 90 degrees.\u00a0 Brush with egg yolk and 1 T. water.\u00a0 Place foil 2 inches wide around edge of crust to prevent over browning.<br \/>\nBake 50 minutes.\u00a0 Cool and refrigerate 8 hours or overnight.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>15 OZ.
