{"id":677,"date":"2011-08-19T16:49:30","date_gmt":"2011-08-19T16:49:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.margiesrecipes.com\/?p=677"},"modified":"2011-08-19T16:49:30","modified_gmt":"2011-08-19T16:49:30","slug":"osso-bucco-milanese","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.margiesrecipes.com\/?p=677","title":{"rendered":"OSSO BUCCO MILANESE"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li>\n<h1><strong>4 T. butter<\/strong><\/h1>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h1><strong>1 \u00bd cup chopped onions<\/strong><\/h1>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h1><strong>\u00bd cup finely chopped carrots<\/strong><\/h1>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h1><strong>\u00bd cup finely chopped celery<\/strong><\/h1>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h1><strong>1 clove garlic minced<\/strong><\/h1>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h1><strong>6-7 pounds veal shanks<\/strong><\/h1>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h1><strong>1 \u00bd t. salt<\/strong><\/h1>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h1><strong>\u00bd t. pepper<\/strong><\/h1>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h1><strong>\u00bc cup flour<\/strong><\/h1>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h1><strong>\u00bd cup olive oil, divided<\/strong><\/h1>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h1><strong>1 cup dry white wine\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong><\/h1>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h1><strong>\u00bc cup beef or chicken stock<\/strong><\/h1>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h1><strong>\u00bd t. dried basil<\/strong><\/h1>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h1><strong>\u00bd t. dried thyme<\/strong><\/h1>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h1><strong>3 cups canned tomatoes, drained, coarsely chopped<\/strong><\/h1>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h1><strong>6 springs of parsley<\/strong><\/h1>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h1><strong>2 bay leaves<\/strong><\/h1>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>In a heavy shallow casserole melt butter.\u00a0 Add onions, carrots, celery and garlic.\u00a0 Cook medium heat 10-12 minutes stirring occasionally.\u00a0 Remove from heat.\u00a0 Sprinkle veal with salt and pepper.
